The Theatre of Fashion

The Theatre of Fashion is a school of fashion designing and sewing for children ages 9-17 and adults.
Here students learn the elements of design, fashion illustration, sewing and fashion presentation (modeling the designed garments). Classes culminate with a presentation of student’s designs (by students) on a runway (see below).
Saturdays 11 am till 1 pm. Every Saturday except for scheduled school breaks. Tuition is $165 per a month. Registration fee is $15.

Design and sew a garment as a part of a collection (theme to be determined)

Sewing Classes for Adults.
We continue offering adult classes on Saturdays 1:30-3:30 pm.
This class is a unique opportunity to sharpen your sewing skills and to receive guidance from an experienced instructor while sewing with a pattern of your choice.
Cost for 4 classes (2 hours each) is $155.

Meet our team
We are pleased to have a team of professionals dedicated to teaching sewing and design in our community.

Anya Sievers is a founder of The Theatre Of Fashion and a small fashion business Anyaberry.
It is her 8th year teaching fashion design and sewing to kids and youth. She is excited to continually improve the program offered at The Theatre Of Fashion.

Kim Clinton is adult students instructor. Kim has had varied experiences in the sewing world.
She attended The Art Institute of Atlanta for fashion design, worked in the garment industry and taught at Bauder Fashion College until moving with her husband in Huntsville.
She pursued her own custom dressmaking and design business with bridal gowns and debutante dresses being the most challenging.
Currently Kim is in charge of developing adult programs for the Theatre Of Fashion.

Amy Boles teaches private classes for advanced students. Amy has spent her entire career in the fashion Industry. She attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco and Los Angeles, where she earned degrees in Fashion Design and Apparel Manufacturing Management.
She has worked for numerous companies, both big and small, in roles that included quality, technical design, product development, production management, sourcing and importing. Amy is a founder of Sew Loved bridal alteration busineswww.sewlovedcustom.com.
Amy has shared her passion and her knowledge with students in the classroom, donated lots of fabrics, trims and books for the students to use!
Serena Harwell is sewing classes for adults instructor and an assistant teacher at the kids and youth classes. She has been sewing most of her life, starting with embroidery when she was little. She helps sew theater costumes, makes and alters clothes for friends and family, and does repairs and alterations on church vestments. Serena proficient at crochet and does hand sewing and embroidery for relaxation. She enjoys teaching others and constantly practicing and learning new techniques.
